| Abstrakt: | The article discusses the princedom of Cosimo I, Grand-Duke of Tuscany and the Italian language. It presents the bibliography of the past twenty years with the aim of defining main trajectories and identifying originality and future prospects compared to previous studies. The analysis deals with essays on Benedetto Varchi and Vincenzo Borghini; vernacular translations of Giovan Battista Gelli and Cosimo Bartoli. |
