The article presents the perspectives of 2 states namely New Mexico and Utah that have recognized the need for specialized orientation and mobility (O&M) services in their early intervention programs for young children with visual impairments. Topics discussed include Utah's efforts to provide more support and training for the O&M specialists to work with very young visually impaired children and their families and the determination of these 2 states to provide these O&M services. |
