Abstrakt: Two cases of actinomycosis of the large bowel, one involving the cecum and the other the sigmoid colon, are presented, along with a review of the subject. The first patient recovered completely following a right hemicolectomy and high doses of penicillin postoperatively. The second patient had perforation of a sigmoid lesion to the lateral abdominal wall. Sigmoid resection and colostomy with wide drainage were performed. The patient diet on the second postoperative day of a cerebrovascular accident. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
