Examines the effects of simulated microgravity on arterial nitric oxide synthase and nitrate and nitrite content. Alterations in nitric oxide synthase (NOS) expression and nitrate and nitrite content of different arteries from simulated microgravity rats; Use of Western blotting to measure endothelial NOS and inducible NOS protein content; Increase in cerebral arteries; Decrease in mesenteric arteries; Lack of change in femoral artery and thoracic aorta. |
