Abstrakt: Examines the significance of footstrike in the occurrence of hemolysis during running. Measurement of the degree of hemolysis after one hour of running; Measurement of plasma free hemoglobin and serum haptoglobin concentrations; Measurement of methemoglobin as a percentage of total hemoglobin immediately postexercise; Increase in plasma free hemoglobin and methemoglobin.
