The article focuses on medical care for frail older people at emergency departments (EDs) in hospitals. Topics discussed include comprehensive geriatric assessment (CGA), which is an evidenced care model for frail older people; the lack of trials involving frail older people in the ED that focus on patient-related outcomes; and the use of information technology (IT) for better information sharing in medical facilities. |
