Abstrakt: |
This article first proposed glycoluril and its derivatives as flame retardants for rubber. The effect of the flame retardants was studied on the mechanical properties of rubber; in addition the degree of fire protection was determined. It was shown that rubber with addition of tetra-N-methylolglycoluril together with a synergistic blend of flame retardants has an excellent degree of fire protection in comparison with serial fire resistant rubber.
