Experimental study and calculated phase equilibria of the tetradecane-cyclododecane-tetracosane system.

Abstrakt: Differential thermal analysis is used to investigate the n-tetracosane-cyclododecane- n-tetradecane system. It is established that this system is of the eutectic type (melting temperature of the eutectic composition alloy is 0.86°C; content of n-tetracosane, 2.0 wt %; n-tetradecane, 65.0 wt %; cyclododecane, 33 wt %). Predictions are made using the model of ideal solutions. The mean relative deviation between experimental and perdicted data was 30.65%. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
