Abstrakt: The article discusses the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Adverse Event Reporting System (MEDWATCH) data and published reports showing a risk for serious, but rare, skin reactions to acetaminophen. The reactions mentioned include Stevens-Johnson Syndrome (SJS), toxic epidermal necrolysis (TEN), and acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis (AGEP). It offers recommendations for nurses assessing patients with a new skin rash of uncertain cause.
