The article discusses the perspectives on the responsibility and role of editors in mentoring of authors which recognizes the democracy role in publication. Topics mentioned include the perspective of journal editors which are framed by their experience as university professors in editing work of academics, the prospect on enhancing democracy through mentoring by editors, and the presentation in 2008 of the American Educational Research Association (AERA) which explain the publication mission. |
