The article focuses on several legislation enacted that made changes to the Federal Employees Health Benefits (FEHB) Program, which offers federal employees, retirees and their dependents private health insurance amounting to more than 40 billion U.S. dollars annually. Topics discussed include the impact of restricting the use of federal funds for the program, changes to the formula on government's share of FEHB premiums and the relationship between Medicare and FEHB. |
