The article presents the authors' perspectives concerning the use of personalized health technology such as wearable computers and smartphones. Topics addressed include an overview of the ethical, legal, and social implications of medical technology innovations, the potential benefits available to individuals and society if they are used ethically, and the authors' launch of a consultation document on collective action needed to promote this technology's implementation. |
