Abstrakt: The article looks at a course-embedded writing mentors program that responds to the manifestations of language discrimination at St. Augustine's University in Raleigh, North Carolina. Topics mentioned include the lack of representatives of writing centers at historically black universities, theorization of code-meshing by author Vershawn Ashanti Young, and the liminal position that mentors occupy between instructors' position as writing evaluators and students' position as writing evaluated.
