The author reflects on British media reports which are concerned with medical care scandals and nursing leadership which may have played a role in the scandals. He suggests that the British nursing profession needs a period of stability but finds itself in a constant state of flux. He argues that leaders who are expected to help prevent medical care scandals are asked to change or are eliminated at such a fast rate that it is not surprising that scandals arise. He argues that too much is asked of British nurse directors. |
