The article presents a response to a reader's comment regarding the author's study on the relationship between chronic stress and immune function. Topics discussed include the study's purpose of determining whether perceived stress affects ex vivo cytokine production, the study's use of the Perceived Stress Scale (PSS) which has been validated in stress and antibody production studies and is believed to accurately represent the levels of perceived psychological stress. |
