The article discusses the guidance released by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on the monitoring of persons in the U.S. who were exposed to Ebola virus disease. Topics include entry screening of travelers from West African countries affected with Ebola, risk categories and consequent public health actions which can either be active monitoring (AM) or direct active monitoring (DAM), and reasons for incomplete monitoring such as logistics and lack of information. |
