The article discusses a study which examined the effectiveness of nitrofurantoin in the treatment of urinary tract infection (UTI) among older female patients. Topics discussed include a comparison of the effectiveness of nitrofurantoin with other antibiotics, the use of nitrofurantoin in older women with reduced kidney function, and reductions in estimated glomerular filtration rate. |
