The author discusses the presentation of a Liberation War Award to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on behalf of former Indian Prime Minister Atal Biharu Vajpayee by Bangladesh government. He explores its implication on the participation of Indian government in the separation of Pakistan and the formation of Bangladesh in 1971 and the closeness between the two countries. He says that the presentation of the award comes at a time when China and Pakistan reached an economic agreement. |
