The article discusses the global fight for food waste which happens due to inefficient harvesting, storage, transportation and market and consumer waste, according to the United Nations. It notes the use of appropriate packaging in reducing food waste and its benefits to individual and society. It also offers tips on how to combat food waste while limiting environmental impact which include offering portion-specific packages, not using preservatives, and adopting more sustainable packages. |
