The article presents a comparison of tax incentives for the energy industry with 4.8 billion U.S. dollars for fossil fuels and 13.4 billion U.S. dollars for renewable energy sources. Topics covered include the effects of Section 1603 grants and expiration of the program to federal financial support, the research by the U.S. agency Energy Information Administration, and an overview of energy production by fuel type such as coal, nuclear, and wind. Also mentioned is the tax rate approach. |
