The article discusses U.S. policy considerations with regards to addressing the problem of unaccompanied children from Central America crossing the U.S. border. Topics discussed include the capacities of Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador to reintegrate deportees and to address the root cause of the problem. Also discussed are programs initiated by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) to help these countries improve their capacities to receive unaccompanied minors. |
