Abstrakt: The aim of this study was to evaluate the performance of a double-layer technique using an acellular dermal matrix (ADM) in conjunction with a coronally advanced flap (CAF) in treating Miller Class I and II gingival recession defects. A total of 50 patients with isolated Class I and II gingival recession defects were treated. At 52 weeks, the mean recession defect decreased from 3.8 ± 0.9 mm to 0.2 ± 0.5 mm. This represents 94.7% root coverage. Complete root coverage was achieved in 80.0% of the cases. Statistical improvements also were found with probing depths and clinical attachment levels. These results support the use of a double-layer technique using ADM in conjunction with a CAF in treating Class I and II recession defects. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
