The article discusses the case of an 84 year old male presented with persistent superficial basal cell carcinomas (BCC) and actinic keratosis (AK) on both cheeks. Skin biopsy revealed aggregates of small and medium sized lymphocytes with plasma cells occupying the whole dermis although there was no formation of germinal centers nor evidence of epidermotropism. A diagnosis of non-cutaneous marginal zone lymphona with skin involvement was made and he was treated with rituximab and bendamustine. |
