What preoperative patient-related factors predict inpatient recovery of physical functioning and length of stay after total hip arthroplasty? A systematic review.

Abstrakt: The article presents a study which identifies the preoperative patient-related characteristics that predict the length of hospital stay and/or inpatient recovery of physical functioning after elective primary total hip arthroplasty. Subjects were adults undergoing elective primary total hip arthroplasty. The findings suggests that there was no strong level of evidence found for the prediction of inpatient recovery of functioning, while there was a strong level of evidence for length of stay.
