Abstrakt: The article discusses the problems that are associated with situations where a single agency has the sole discretion to file petitions for children in need of services in Indiana, and it mentions the Indiana Department of Child Services and the proper care and treatment of children with mental health and behavioral illnesses and disorders in the state. Services for vulnerable children are examined, along with Indiana's child welfare system and state legislative proposals to help children.
