Abstrakt: Facial injuries are the most alarming situations in pediatric patients. The treatment options for the traumatic injuries in pediatric group is controversial as any surgical intervention in young children may misguide jaw growth or may even cause damage to the developing young permanent teeth. The anatomical complexity and the high osteogenic potential of the mandible in growing children allows for conservative approaches to be successful in the treatment of fractures of the mandible. This case report documents successful conservative treatment of mandibular parasymphysis fracture using a cap splint in a 5-year-old patient. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
