The article discusses the study that determined the safety, cost effectiveness, outcomes and timely access to care of trainee-performed ultrasonography by trainees in the acute setting. Findings discussed include highly significant correlation of aortic diameter measurement in trainee-performed ultrasonography in abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) with departmental ultrasonography, and good imaging correlation between trainee and departmental imaging in biliary tree scanning. |
