Abstrakt: A solution-processing method for obtaining graphite oxide (GO), which is used for the organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs), is presented herein. The use of poly(arylene ether)s as the solid carbon source is demonstrated for the first time. Raman spectroscopy, Fourier transform infrared (FTIR), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), luminance, and electroluminescence (EL) reveal the essential properties. The respective percentages of the peak areas of sp2 C and sp3 C in the GO are calculated to be 54.47 and 37.32%. The GO had a sheet resistance of 97 Ω/square determined by the four-probe method and a conductivity of 5.538 × 101 Ω−1 cm−1 determined by the Hall-effect method. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
