Abstrakt:	The article evaluates the evidence on patients' perception of implantable cardioverter defibrillator deactivation at end of life. Topics discussed include data collection method for the study and results of the analysis of data which reveal the need for professionals to discuss with patients and families implantable cardioverter defibrillator functionality and deactivation of implantable cardioverter defibrillator at appropriate opportunities.
