Abstrakt:	The article reports on fire-resistant designs that are tested and listed by Underwriters Laboratories of Canada (ULC), a product safety testing organization. Topics discussed include an overview of the ULC fire-resistance listings, how ULC staff tested products to ensure they meet national standards, and the use of the term based on by some manufacturers in representing fire-resistant designs. Also provided are several examples of specific assemblies tested for a fire-resistant design.
