Abstrakt: The article discusses how the use of ultrasonic imaging in the diagnoses of juvenile dermatomyositis, a disease caused by the inflammation of skeletal muscles and skin. It examines the use of the ultrasonic therapy administrated to a group of seven dermatomyositis patients and mentions the ultrasonic imaging procedure carried on them. It proposes that ultrasonic imaging could be used as diagnostic tool in the evaluation of the severity of muscle changes.
