Memory Magic: Is it just a bunch of hocus pocus?

Abstrakt: The article evaluates Memory Magic, an intervention developed by Janie Booth which provides teachers with six strategies to help children with working memory difficulties. The evaluation draws on related theoretical topics and empirical research. The theoretical underpinnings and empirical support for Memory Magic's strategies are reviewed. The value of Memory Magic's approach and its application to children as well as its implications for educational psychologists are discussed.
