| Abstrakt: |
The article presents a literature review which examines the surgical indications, union rate, method of fixation, time to union, return to sport, and complications of surgical treatment of clavicle fractures in a adolescent athlete. The authors conducted a MEDLINE search of relevant articles published between 1970 and 2013. The results indicate that earliear return to competition can be achieved with surgical management of displaced clavicle fractures to restore alignment and prevent malunion. |
