The article discusses a study which estimates the prevalence of atrial fibrillation (AF) in adult population in Australia according to age and sex. Topics include using population projections in estimating the potential future prevalence of AF, projecting the increase of AF prevalence by 2034, and the limitations of the study such as whether the international prevalence statistics are applicable to the population in Australia. |
