The article characterizes pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) patients from Brazil. Topics discussed include the survival rates for the PAH subjects, a comparison between the prognosis for PAH and for connective tissue disease (CTD) patients and the common causes of PAH among the subjects. Also discussed is the importance of regional registries in monitoring PAH in the Southern Hemisphere. |
