The article focuses on the important role of university partnerships in contributing to the understanding of nonvascular vegetation communities in Alaska's national parks. It discusses how the collaboration offered a strong foundation for future studies and has enhanced U.S. National Park Service (NPS) initiatives toward resource management goals. The habitat types and climate gradients known to support a rich and diverse flora in Alaska's national parks is cited. |
