The article discusses the importance of crisis awareness for an appropriate preparation and actions to safeguard life and livelihood during natural disasters in Slovakia. It examines the impact of several factors for residents' preparedness and awareness including the lack of expectation, confusion over warnings and minimal preparation. It also cites the use of technology to communicate with people in case of threat to life, health, property or the environment. |
