The article discusses strategies on managing complications in a ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP), particularly ways to monitor ventilator-associated events that includes ventilator-associated conditions (VAC), infection ventilator-associated complications (IVAC) and VAP. Topics discussed include the definition of VAC, as well as the confusion created by the lack of the practical clinical validity of VAC and the impact of the quality of care on VAC. |
