The article reports on the move of Sonia Ghandi to block the leaders of her ruling Congress party from naming her son Rahul Ghandi as prime minister candidate in India. It states that Gandhi has overruled leaders of her party by announcing that the party has made it final decision on Rahul. Satish Misra, a political analyst at the Observer Research Foundation, claims that the Congress made a tactical choice to avoid naming Rahul because they do not want to put the image of Ghandi at risk. |
