| Abstrakt: | A simple, sturdy metal box was designed and utilized to protect indwelling central venous and aortic arch catheters in miniature swine. These catheters were easily maintained for 14 days in unrestrained, free-roaming animals while precise amounts of fluids were infused, serial blood samples were taken, and blood pressure recordings and cardiac output measurements were made. |
