Features of oncologic prevalence are described in 35 occupational groups of retired female urban inhabitants of 32 former USSR regions. Study clarifies occupations at risk of high mortality with all malignancies and especially with esophageal and gastric carcinoma, colorectal cancer, pulmonary and breast cancer, carcinoma cervix, hemoblastoses. Disputable points include possible connection with work conditions and life style, problems of occupational orientation of women, organization of scientifically justified oncologic prophylaxis. |
