Abstrakt: This report describes a 33-year-old female patient who presented with severe neurological symptoms and signs during postpartum relapse of Crohn's ileocolitis. The cause of the neurological deficit was extensive major vessel thrombosis resulting in spinal cord ischemia. Etiologic factors involved in this exceptional thrombotic state are discussed with emphasis on the relationship between low levels of folic acid, homocysteine metabolism, and coagulation.
