Abstrakt: Blood-gastrin levels were assayed in 112 cases of colorectal carcinoma. Elevated concentrations of gastrinemia were identified in the patients as compared with healthy controls, on the basis of averaged data. An inverse correlation between hypergastrinemia incidence and stage was observed. It was matched by a tendency of increased concentration of gastrin in elderly patients. The data on two-year follow-up pointed to an inverse correlation between survival and preoperative level of gastrinemia.
