| Abstrakt: | A detailed analysis was carried out of chromosome aberrations induced by chromium compounds in a lymphocyte culture of persons which were in contact with the compounds. It is shown that the frequency of cells with chromosome aberrations depends on the age and duration of contact with chromium and does not depend on the sex. It was marked that hexavalent chromium compounds have a higher cytogenetic activity. Mechanisms of mutagenic action of heavy metal ions are discussed (taking chromium as an example). |
