| Abstrakt: | A 46-year-old Chinese male was admitted to the Deaconesses' Hospital in Paramaribo with severe bleeding from esophagus varices. After being first on a wrong track the diagnosis clonorchiasis was made. The case history of the patient is described. This was the second case of clonorchiasis in Surinam. It is emphasized that imported diseases must be considered, whenever immigrants show up with symptoms. |
