The paper is concerned with the results of radioimmunoassay of the CEA level in the blood serum of 235 patients with breast cancer, 48 patients with fibrous-cystic mastopathies and 51 healthy women. In 100 patients with generalized breast cancer repeated examination of the CEA level was done during drug treatment. The authors showed a possibility to use in practice the results of radioimmunoassay of CEA in patients with breast cancer in early stages as a prognostic test as well as an additional criterion in the evaluation of drug therapeutic efficacy in patients with generalized breast cancer. |
