| Abstrakt: | Surgical stapling instruments have been used successfully in gastrointestinal anastomosis. A surgical technique using the staples to close a loop colostomy in gynecologic oncology patients is presented. The procedure shortens operating time and results in an enlarged anastomotic site, thus minimizing the possibility of obstruction at the site. |
