Abstrakt: Necropsy of a 15-month-old male orangutan (Pongo pygmaeus) showed multiple nodular elevations of the mucosa of the colon, petechial hemorrhages in both lungs, and mucosal ulcerations in the cecum, appendix, and proximal colon. Light microscopy revealed filariform larvae of Strongyloides in the lung, colon, and mesenteric lymph nodes. Rhabditiform larvae were also observed in sections of colon.
