Abstrakt: Low serum potassium levels can precipitate a rare condition called hypokalemic periodic paralysis. A patient may be predisposed to this phenomenon through hereditary or acquired causes. We present a case of a 21-year-old female who presented with sudden-onset generalized weakness and hypokalemia, which was treated promptly in the Accident and Emergency department, which led to a quick resolution of symptoms. This case highlights the importance of prompt diagnosis and treatment at the time of presentation to prevent the progression of symptoms and further complications.
