| Abstrakt: | As a specialized nurse working as part of an operating room team, the ORN is at the heart of patient care: when the patient is admitted to the operating room, during the operation and postoperatively, in the recovery room. He or she plays a variety of roles within the team, and more specifically, works alongside the surgeon as an instrumentalist, one of the three roles of an operating room nurse.
